House owner Tony Arambula in Phoenix was shot by a police officer that came to their house because they called 911 after they’re house was intruded by a burglar Angel Canales. Arambula had a registered gun which he was holding to protect his family against Canales. But when the police arrived officer Brian Lilly shot Tony without a reason. “If you can imagine being shot, it’s a whole lot worse than you think. It literally feels like they’re pulling a sledge hammer through your body,” said Arambula. “I was pretty sure I was going to die.”
A spokesperson for the Phoenix police said in an interview that ”the home owner was mistaken for the armed suspect and shot”. The intruder, Angel Canales, was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and weapons charges. Tony Arambula is now asking the city and its police department to settle the case for $5.75 million.
wow….ur not supposed to shoot right away unless theyre turning the gun at u…they probably jus ran in there saw the gun and shot him….
wow..what if he would have died would the officer go to jail for murder?????
This is why you call the cops AFTER you shoot the intruder. Why invite confussion and people with guns who don’t know you or the layout to your home to intervene?
1. Call the cops to police up the body after you’ve shot the intruder.
2. As trigger-happy as many cops seem to be nowadays, there is no way in Hades I’d let a cop walk up on me if I had a gun in my hand.
3. He should be suing the individual officer for a violation of his civil rights under color of authority in addition to suing the police department and the city.
yep, quite true, should stand inverted in shit for eternity
There are places for those people who intentionally choose to act inhuman to people how are deemed defenseless to a badge of law that is put into place by the people for the safeguard of all, there will be a reckoning, make no mistake.
