Six children from Chicago are gonna remember this night as one of their most traumatizing experiences. The kids, aged 11 months to 13 years at the time, were rehearsing songs for the church choir with their grandmother Charlene Holly when eight armed officers burst through the door and started aiming guns at them, yelling “get on the ground!”.
One of the cops even asked Charlene to show the 11 month old’s hands to them at gunpoint. When she asked for the reason of the raid, she was handed a warrant for Sedgwick M. Reavers, the tenant of the apartment one floor above the Hollys. The warrant clearly stated ‘The second floor apartment located at 10640 S. Prairie Ave.
A yellow brick two flat building with the numbers 10640 on the front of the building.’ but the cops broke into the first floor apartment, cursing at the minors and telling them “This is what happens when your grandma sells crack”.
After the raid, Charlene found their family dog Samson dead in the upstairs laundry room, where he was presumably dragged to with a dog pole by one of the officers. The family kept Samson in the basement and he couldn’t have reached the laundry room on his own.
Charlene and Samuel Holly are now pressing charges on Chicago, police officer Patrick Kinney and eight John Does for putting the lives of their children in danger.
This is a disgrace to humanity!
This is awful. I wish the family healing more than anything but I certainly hope they win their case. This could of been anyone and still could happen to anyone of us in our homes when we are doing nothing wrong. Everyone needs to start being accountable for every decision we make, and that includes but not limited to, law enforcement. People need to stop helping their kids get out of situations they create and let them suffer the outcome. That’s the way they learn how to solve problems for the future and learn how to make wiser choices. Teach them when they are you that they are accountable so when they are adults they can handle the harsh world easier by making the best decision they KNOW how.

Solution: local militia
The police operate as the local gunmen with a badge. Downsize the police force and have neighborhood representatives. These reps would be like block captains. Before the police could raid any house, they would have to go through the block captains first. All homes would be encouraged to own firearms and have assembly or readiness drills as desired. We’re not talking rifle platoon training, formations and close order drill. Just meet up and show your face. This is in a sense exercising the other half of the 2nd Amendment that most people ignore.
People assume the 2nd Amendment only means the right to bear arms. That’s only one half of the 2nd Amendment. The other half is the right to form a militia. The militia are not the police or military. It’s a local thing with ‘we the people.’
If every home was armed and every neighborhood was organized (KNOW YOUR NEIGHBOR!!), the police would have far less ability to “roll in” and have their way. They know they’d be up against a crowd of upset and armed citizens. Also, with an organized neighborhood, there’d be more going on in terms of self-policing.

The police don’t deserve our patience. The only purpose of the police is to dish out traffic tickets, parking tickets, harass people when they feel it is safe for them to do so, and kill innocent animals who frankly, deserve their time on this planet more than those police officers do.
When does a police officer save the day before something bad actually happens? Hardly ever. The ones that do, would have done so badge or no badge.

The single mmost important thing police need is dicipline. The entire notion that a police officer has more rights than a citizen is completely incorrect. When a cop acts like a thug or criminal they need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law just as a civillian is. Why do some cops act all weird when a civillian is armed when it is the law of the land that the civillian be armed? How can a cop walk up to your car with his hand on his gun and yet get upset when you in your car have a gun on your console or lap for that matter? Does the common man or woman have less right to self defense than a police officer? If that is the mentality of not only the police but also politicians (more first class citizens) then this is what needs to change. Each and every one of us is an individual with rights that cannot be taken away by anyone else without due process of law. I have just as much right to speak freely and defend myself as any police officer. This needs to be the new message of the preshift brief for all officers. They are servants of the people. So what does that make us?

What is it with the killing of pets? Okay, sure, when the cops get it wrong and do a no knock warrant on the wrong house, they’re not going to be big enough to admit they’re wrong or even apologize to the tax payer who pays their salaries. It’s tyrannical but that is how they are, integrity is not something they feel they need to be accountable for to taxpayers. But why kill the family pets?
